The municipality of Alphen a/d Rijn commissioned an investigation on different scenarios for the development of Castellum theatre. Advies etc. participated as a subcontractor of Theateradvies bv.

When covid-19 hit, the cultural sector was faced with a lock-down. Advies etc. was commissioned by LAAKtheater to consult and to investigate possibilities to open the theatre save for the public and artists. The first scan showed that measures were necessary.

Wooow Winterswijk 2020-2022 The municipality of Winterswijk is developing, as part of a bigger city center revitalization plan, a new cultural neighbourhood, named Wooow, a building plot in the center of the city at the end of the shopping district. Together with new housing units a new cultural Center is projected. The library, Boogie Woogie institute for arts education and de Winterwijkse Uitdaging, an organization for volunteers will be housed in this Center.

As subcontractor of Theateradvies bv a business plan was drawn up for a new to build small multi-functional performance hall (approx. 250 seats). A new housing for the local community center “de Pelikaan” is being developed, with this small performance hall as an expansion.

Together with the project developer CON-C and Heren 5 Architects a plan was created to redevelop 1.000 social housing units (high-rise) into an area with 1.200 mixed units. We choose an integral approach, sustainability, climate adaption, livability, participation all were essential parts.

After an earlier research Zuyd institute for higher professional eduction has decided to house the performing arts education courses, now housed in three monumental buildings, in one new building. Advies etc. was commissioned to create common ground and to create a vison on new housing with the seven

The theatre Centro Pro Arte in Curaçao, an island in the Dutch West-Indies was closed a few years ago due to technical problems and was then destroyed by a fire. Drawing up a programme of requirements and a business plan in close collaboration with Theateradvies for a new construction of Teatro Nasjonal Curaçao.

2016-2019  Interim Management Theater Rotterdam. Merging and restructuring the Facility Management departments of four cultural organisations in Rotterdam as interim manager from 2016 to 2019. The Facility Management department consists of five teams: cleaning, reception, ICT, building management and hospitality (food & drinks).

Making cities future-proof The aim of the international sustainability programme 7 Square Endeavour is to make cities future-proof. We initiated this multidisciplinary project in 2015 and have been actively involved ever since. The first of seven squares is Schouwburgplein in they city centre of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Amsterdam University of the Arts - Project Manager 2015. Drawing up the programme of requirements for transforming former Shell Laboratories into the Academy of Theatre and Dance of the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) with rehearsal studios and classrooms. On top of the existing building, a new theatre was constructed that is open to the general public.

The City of Rotterdam, Technical manager 2011-2015. Technical building management of the city’s theatre Schouwburg Rotterdam commissioned by the municipality of Rotterdam. Revising the multi-year maintenance budget, preparing annual plans and budgets, commissioning maintenance and other projects.

Theater Goudse Schouwburg – Project Manager 2004-2005. Managing the technical project of installing an automated fly system and renovating the main stage and back stage areas of Theater Goudse Schouwburg in Gouda (total budget of EUR 5.2 million).
